Funds to Kick Start Redevelopment Effort
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Mike Turner hailed the announcement of a $294,000 grant to the Clinton County Port Authority of Wilmington, Ohio to develop a marketing redevelopment and re-use plan for the former DHL Airpark. The last decade has been challenging for the State of Ohio’s manufacturing sector, especially here in the Dayton region. Between May 2000 and May 2010, the Dayton metropolitan area lost over half of its production workforce, around 42,000 manufacturing jobs.
